We completed the intake this morning with Early On. I signed all the forms for them to evaluate Jacob and release the information to everyone. Did you know that they can release his issues/progress to the public school as well to be monitored through pre and elementary school? That's cool!
The woman who came to get our information is an early development teacher. She asked a lot of questions, no where near what we'll get on Friday. Jacob did interact with her quite a bit - my un-shy boy. She did say that since the fluid in Jacob's ears has been present for some time that he did miss a very important learning period by not being able to hear clearly. The full evaluation is Friday...we'll know more then.
And the chimney liner guy - yeah, he didn't show.
We are so happy that things are moving forward for Jacob! We know he is very bright and this will help him to express himself. We know he will have a lot to say once he can hear properly.
