Amazed

It's amazing sometimes the way the Lord looks out for us. Even through the smallest things.

He gave us two days in January - one 65 degrees and another at 56 degrees - which happened to be the when our furnace decided it was too waterlogged to heat us. So it didn't really matter that we were without heat. Yes, it's fixed now. Jeremy called our brother-in-law and he reminded Jeremy what to do to fix it. We've had no more issues.

I ran to the consignment store to find JJ a spring jacket for those warm days. I found an almost brand new,Old Navy jacket, and a pair of Oshkosh jeans (the poor kid only has 2 pr. of pants that fit), both less than $7 each. His waist is almost a 3T but his length is about 18 mos. - it's not that we can't buy pants, it's that they don't make them the way we need 'em!

He sent me a really nice woman, Joanne, who is giving (yes, for free) us her old Nextel and all of the accessories after we found out that Nextels don't work after swimming in dishwater. The amazing thing here was I also had almost a full roll of tulle that she needed for her daughter's wedding.

Patience - Jeremy and I have been in a rough spot for a while. He's had a lot of changes at work and in responsibility. His new boss is a lot more hands on, about the business, and down to business. Jeremy has been more accountable at work (which is good) and it seems -less at home. We've had some issues with family, the holidays, the house, the uncertainty with Amber's baby and Jacob's ears. We've been adjusting to so much. It hasn't been easy - in fact, it's been pretty uptight and we weren't communicating as we should have. We, finally talked our way through a lot of it last night and I woke up this morning, feeling some resolution.

I'm still amazed with the gift of my Jacob, the strength he gave me through the Amber/Nevaeh situation. I'm amazed at the healing he has done for me to ease the pain in my heart for the lack of a biological child. I'm not all healed yet but it's on the way.

Hopefully, God is still looking out for us when the chimney liner guy comes...
